From a faraway galaxy, a friendly alien lands on Earth to research the planet and its inhabitants. But on the very day he arrives, he loses his most precious possession — the gadget through which he can summon his spaceship and go home. As the bewildered alien searches for it on this planet of billions, everyone tells him only one person can help: God.

And so begins his hilarious and heartbreaking odyssey — the search for God. He visits places of worship, performs rituals, and follows every faith, with sidesplitting results. He is dismissed as a drunkard and bashed up for blasphemy. But soon, the world cannot ignore his simple yet searing questions.
